LIST OF SELECTED APPLICANTS

The 2018 IEEE PES T&D LA seeks interested IEEE PES Student Members to submit applications to the 2018 IEEE PES T&D LA Student Travel Award. The deadline for application submission is May 25^th, 2018.

PURPOSE

The 2018 IEEE PES T&D LA Student Travel Award has been founded to help students defray the cost of travelling to and attending the 2018 IEEE PES Transmission & Distribution Conference and Exhibition Latin America; which will be held on September 18-21, 2018 in Lima, Peru.

THE GRANT

• The 2018 IEEE PES T&D LA Student Travel Award covers:
  a) Students from Lima - Peru:
  

  • Undergraduate student conference registration (full conference and exhibitors, USD 300 for undergraduate students).
  b) Students from provinces of Peru:
  
  • Undergraduate student conference registration (full conference and exhibitors, USD 300 for undergraduate students).
  • Housing limited to USD 50.
  c) Foreign Students:
  
  • Undergraduate student conference registration (full conference and exhibitors, USD 300 for undergraduate students).
  • Housing limited to USD 600.

• The grant is managed by the 2018 IEEE PES T&D LA Local Organizing Committee (LOC).

• All reimbursements are posterior. Housing and registration fee will be processed with standard financial forms (Expense Report/ Wire Transfer Request Form) by the 2018 IEEE PES T&D LA LOC during the Conference. The conference excursions and tutorials are not reimbursed.

• Receipts are required for reimbursement. Air/land tickets are NOT covered in this grant.

• Advance payment will not be provided.

• This is a great opportunity to network with others in your field of interest, and to get to better know the IEEE, the IEEE PES, and what our community has to offer to students.

ELIGIBILITY

The 2018 IEEE PES T&D LA Student Travel Award grants are available to IEEE PES Students Members (undergraduate).

EVALUATION AND NOTIFICATION

• Preference will be given to undergraduate student members and outstanding student chapter officers, as well as the student representatives of the winner chapters of the outstanding chapter award, the chapter web contest and the most happening chapter contest.

• The applications will be evaluated by an ad-hoc committee -consisting of the LOC members- by July 15^th, 2018.

• E-mail notifications will be sent by the Conference Chair to the applicants by July 31^th, 2018.
