Conference Chair: Santiago L. León Gómez
Electrical engineer by the Universidad Nacional del Callao, Magister in Administration by the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola and studies of Doctorate in Administrative Sciences at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Currently, he serves as a member of the Board of the Economic Operation Committee of the Interconnected System of Peru (COES) and is also President 2017-2018 of the IEEE Peru Section, and holds the degree of IEEE Senior Member. He has 25 years of experience in the Peruvian Electricity Sector. Previously, he held managerial positions in Commercial, Regulatory and Operations Management in electric transmission companies such as ETECEN and RED DE ENERGÍA DEL PERU (REP). He began his career in ELECTROPERÚ company working as an engineer in the area of measurements. He was Chairman of the IEEE PES Peru Chapter, between the years 2013-2014.
Technical Program Chair: Jorge L. Lafitte Vega
Mechanical-Electrical engineer by the National Engineering University (UNI- Peru), Master of Business Administration by the Pacific University (UP-Peru) of Lima Peru, M.Sc. and D.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ-Brazil). He has 15 years of experience and research related to power systems both in Peru and Brazil. Participation as organizer and lecturer of specialized topics of Peru’s electricity sector. Actually, he works at Red de Energia del Peru, private concessionaire company of the power transmission systems, a subsidiary of ISA Colombia Business Group. His currently position held is Operations Chief of the company. He has been in IEEE PES Peru Chapter for more than 5 years. Currently, serves as Chapter Chair for 2017-2018 and holds the degree of IEEE Senior Member.
Publication Chair: Beto D. de J. Wong Gálvez
Mechanical-Electrical engineer by Universidad de Piura, Peru. He has held several management, leadership and organizational positions in IEEE Peru Section and is a graduate of the IEEE MGA Volunteer Leadership Training Program (VoLT). He has participated in energy optimization and development of methodologies for thermodynamic analysis projects. He is an IEEE member since 2013 with areas of interest in innovation and energy technology, and member of the Organizing Committees of international conferences held in Peru such as INTERCON and ANDESCON. He is currently the Administrator and also the Representative of the Central Region of the Student Activities Committee of the IEEE Peru Section.
Conference Treasurer: Pedro José Durán Talledo
Electronics Engineer from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He currently works at ICACIT, the Peruvian accreditation body for undergraduate engineering programs and the first Latin American provisional member of the Washington Accord. Durán is an IEEE Senior Member and his 14-years service as IEEE volunteer includes several roles. He is currently serving as IEEE Peru Section ExCom Treasurer, IEEE Industry Applications Society Council member and IEEE Education Society Peruvian Chapter Vice Chair.

Mechanical-electrical engineer by San Luis Gonzaga National University, Peru, M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), Brazil and D.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ), Brazil. Professional with 14 years of experiences related to power systems, of which 7 years were dedicated to researches and academic works at UFMA and PUC-RJ, evaluating and implementing techniques and highly efficient strategies in different computational numerical analysis for tools power grids. Collaborator and direct participant in development projects between utilities in the Brazilian electricity sector and research groups. Since 2009, he has been developing as a specialist engineer in Power Systems Coordination at Red de Energía del Perú, private concessionaire company of the power transmission systems, a subsidiary of ISA Colombia Business Group. He works as part of a team of experts from electrical engineering that develop different kind of electrical studies associated to the operation and planning of modern power system to ensure reliability, safety and quality in the transmission system.

Electrical engineer by San Antonio Abad University, Cusco, Peru; M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ), Brazil; Licentiate in Electrical Engineering from the Chalmers Technical university, Gothemburg, Sweden; General Management Program at CEDEP/INSEAD, Fountainblau, Paris, France. Professional with 23 years of experiences related to power markets and development of power systems, he is with the ENGIE group since 2004. He is a business developer in electricity and gas industries. He was involved in power generation commercialization and regulatory activities.
